Working From Home: Week One

I woke up this morning with a hangover. Truth be told I only had 4 vodka tonics last night, but when you’re a lightweight like me and you’re drinking on an empty stomach, that’s enough to send me over the edge. In addition to the hangover, also felt sore. Why? Well I also danced for quite some time while hanging out with fellow coworkers at Dunphy’s Bar & Grill. We were actually there for yet another sendoff. Actually, things haven’t been so bad lately. The mass exodus has stopped and more importantly, I now get to work from home which is a huge perk. This week I actually only worked three days from home. I know, poor me! Things went well for the most part. But I can already see that I’m going to have to force myself away from computer to take a break in the middle of the day. After coming home on Tuesday night, I didn’t leave my house until Thursday night when I went to dinner at Feast with a friend. That’s a little too much alone time. I am on the phone all day long so I have interaction with the outside world, but I really need to make a commitment to myself to brave the elements and go outside for at least an hour during the day. If I don’t, there is a possibility that I’ll become paranoid or worse yet, become afraid of the outside world, and that’s the last thing I need right now.
