UniverSoul Circus

Forget the Ringling Brothers Circus. I want to check out the UniverSoul Circus when they stop in Chicago. Major bummer that I have to wait until late September. Based on the write-up in February 23rd issue of Newsweek, its sounds like the only black owned-and-operated traveling circus, puts on a great performance.

Universoul family.
My name is Troy Roundtree. I live in MD. I have supported the Circus every year since its inception. I saw the show this past Fathers Day. I have to admit it did not feel the same. The absence of Cal and Zeke was disappointing. Every year Cal and Zeke greeted me and my family. This year I felt that Chucky was in the circus for a paycheck. When the elephant defecated on the stage. Chuck said,” I got to smell that everyday!” The only animal acts where the elephants and some horses running in circles. In the past there many animal acts. The motorcycle show, The Basketball routine. The Religious theme. And many more acts that I can’t recall. All in All the experience felt like a bunch of fluff with no substance. Please feel free to email or call me directly.

I live in New York, and the commercials do not have the voice of Casual Cal and Zeke? Where are they this year, there was an article in the paper that said they would have the first-african american female ringmaster. I am boycotting this year, I want my Cal and Zeke. Does anyone know what happend to them this year

this is a great show. we’ve been for the past 4 years and wil not miss a performance in the future. not oinly is it black-owned, many of the performers are african, black, latino etc. i’d go just to see the male contortionist. 🙂 it is well worth the money.
