Seabiscuit

Post placeholder image

Last night after eating sushi at Akai Hana, my friend and I went to the movies to see Seabiscuit. This is a story about three men each with their own troubled lives who come together because they believed that despite his track record, Seabiscuit had the potential to be a great race horse. It’s a good movie with lots of drama and a few laughs along the way provided by Tick Tock McGlaughlin (William H. Macy), a radio track reporter. Tobey Maguire, Jeff Bridges and Chris Cooper all give strong performances. In that I’ve had to overcome one obstacle after another and continually prove myself, I can totally relate to the true star of the movie: Seabiscuit. So it’s good to see that Seabiscuit beats the odds and achieved greatness.

I recently saw the movie seabiscuit and was very touched by the story, how ever I then tried to find out something about what had happened to seabiscuit after where the movie had left off and all I could find is that he had passed at the age of 14 or 15. I guess I was just wondering if he had (or she… I don’t know) had any offspring, was well taken care of or what ever.

I love horses. Been riding scence I was 6! But raised with horses! My dad use to race standeredbreds. I loved the movie. The underdog wining! It is great. Doing a history project on Seabiscuit on his effects on the people during the Depression. E-mail me if u can give me any info! That would be great!

Heather — Sounds like you need to pay a trip to the library. This is my personal weblog (online journal) not a resource for term papers. Good Luck!

Wow! I havent read much on this site, but I can tell it isn’t going to be very helpful to me. I’m trying to do a report on the movie Seabiscuit and no one here seems to know anything about the true history of the horse. Why is his name Seabiscuit? if you can tell me that I would be very greatful!
