Rock Concerts

Post placeholder image

I know I am a little late in saying this, but singers like Ashlee Simpson are exactly why I do not go to rock concerts. As to be expected, most artist want to put on a good performance but since many cannot bring their A game night after night, many choose not to sing live and end up lip-syncing. I am not down with that. If I am going to pay $70 to attend a concert, god damn it, I want to hear them actually sing. Heck, if I want to listen to the CD version, I would stay home and blast my stereo.

The only time I would bend that rule is with “entertainers.” They don’t really sing well enough to be full-on “singers” but they can dance their ass off. Janet Jackson, Britney Spears, Madonna, J Lo., etc. You would not pay these people money to stand up there and sing…like Mariah, Celine, even Christina (Give it up, this young woman can SING.)
People like Ashlee Simpson really bring nothing to the table on either end, so it’s pointless to pay for their shows at all.

I was at the Prince concert and he had a segment with the acoustic guitar and one of the first things he said was you wouldn’t hear this at a lip sync concert. He is so right and I feel the same as you. Concerts cost too much to go hear “canned” music.

Gotta love how first she blames the band for playing the wrong song and then tries to say the problem was acid reflux.
    Acid reflux…lack of talent…
Yah, maybe they’re the same thing.
    Or maybe not.
