JC: I was thinking more of a traditional relationship, but you do make a good point as far as blogs are concerned. In addition, it’s made me wonder what the heck happened to half my readers. My statistics indicate that the number of people who visit my site on a daily basis has dropped significantly and hardly anyone every comments anymore. Hmmm. Trying not to read too much into this, but it does make me wonder…
Chris: I’m not optimistic. But such is life.
Hmm…
Then, what kind of relationship does a blogger have with a reader that perhaps does not comment often? I would still say there is some kind of relationship there. But maybe not. I wonder if the “relationship” in that case is like the relationship of a fan to a movie star…one-sided, but still present and can be healthy in its one-sided form, or can be extreme and out of proportion.
(Note: I’m sure your point was meant in a more traditional form of relationship and I’m probably not talking about what you’re talking about…but it got me to thinking.)

Very true. I hope who ever isn’t communicating starts communicating.
