Olympic Rings on Tower Bridge

Post placeholder image

It’s now exactly 14 days to go before the Olympics begins and so there is a definite buzz in the air. Also, more london landmarks are getting into the spirit of things. Below is a picture of Tower Bridge displaying the Olympic rings. According to news reports, the rings which weigh three tonnes were put there 30 days before the start of the games “cost £259,817 to produce and installing them is estimated to have cost £53,000.” They do look good but that’s an aweful lot of money for a temporary installation. That said, it’s the Olympics and its quite pictureque!
