My Birthday Astrology

Steve mentions in his weblog today that according to Yahoo! Astrology masking tape was invented on his birthday. So I thought I would go check out what they had to say about my birthday (August 11th). Below you will find the results. Hmmm, looks like January 26th is a positive day for romance. Interestingly enough, I’m going to a superbowl party, so maybe I’ll meet someone there. I’ll be sure to report back.

I’m sure all astrology columns get recycled eventually. Hard to believe that someone is actually writing a new batch of that stuff. Then again, maybe not!

While working as a reporter at a small newspaper I shall not name, I also got stuck with administering our syndicated material — comics, national columns, news services and the like. One month, I forgot to mail the renewal check for the astrology column and didn’t want to admit it to the publisher (I had been in the doghouse that week for something or another). So, I located the misplaced envelope with the check, put it in the mail and then pulled old astrology columns out of the archives and ran them for two weeks until the “real” stuff arrived. Nobody noticed.

LOL! I did use the trackback link. Looks like it didn’t work. I’ll try and fix.
