Lychee

My flight is not until 5pm, so after checking out and storing my luggage, I spend a few hours browsing the antique shops on and around Dorotheergasse Street. I am tempted to buy something, but everything I see that I like is obscenely overpriced, so in the end I walk away. I don’t even buy the obligatory Christmas ornament or chocolate to take back. I leave with just wonderful memories.
Ok wait, that’s not entirely true. I did buy a box of Lychee. A colleague introduced me to the fruit a few weeks ago, and while in Vienna I eat loads of them. They remind me so much of Genips native to the Caribbean (including Montserrat) which I hadn’t eaten in donkey years.
