Lost: The TV Show

Did anyone else watch LOST last night? It reminded me so much of one of my favorite books (Lord of the flies), that I consider future episodes MUST SEE TV.

Yeah, i think the show is fully sik!! I can’t wait till the next part in 2006!! I reckon the boy that got carried away on the boat will be taken back to the island and he and the dog will survive.
Does anyone know if soya is really dead?

Oh yeah, I’m all about “Lost”. It was the most expensive TV pilot ever — and it showed! It looked like a movie. I’m still not sure how they can make this last for more than a season, but I’m definitely looking forward to seeing more!

It’s a cross between Sir Arthurs the lost world and H.G. Wells island of dr. moreau. could they have passed thru a crack in time created by the storm?

I’ve thought about the death theory as well but like you said it doesn’t explain about the french lady. Though if she thought that she were alive as well then she might have tried to get a recording off the island. I mean them being dead would certainly explain why the Doctor’s (I’m blanking on his name, he is sort of the main character.) anyway why his dad wasn no longer in his coffin. I also thought that maybe the island is some kind of government experiment or something. Not sure, but I will definately keep watching.

OK, so this show is totally worth watching and my roommate and I think we have figured out a major plot point mystery about the show. We think that everyone who ended up on the island is actually dead. They all have unresolved issues which would explain why they don’t want to “pass on”, and the old wheel chair guy can now walk, plus he said “I looked into the eye of this island and what I saw was beautiful” after he was face to face with a supposed monster that came out of the forest at him. YOu don’t call a close encounter with a monster that knocks over trees beautiful unless…oh I don’t know. Although this doesn’t explain that recording they heard from the french lady.
Anyone else have an idea why the island is so weird?

Charlie is addicted to drugs, kate is a convict, shannon is a cry baby, sawyer thinks he is mean (really isn’t) That korean man is mean to his wife, and Claire and Charlie are bonding you know what that means……. Charlie is hot to. Locke is weird, I am glad they found Vincent. What is up with the Polar Bear???

According to the show’s website, they are Korean:http://abc.go.com/primetime/lost/about.html
So now I’m confused. Are they just mangling the language or do they think no one will notice that they are speaking Japanese?

Enigma
thanks jc. i thought they were speaking japanese. plus, i’m sure i read that they were a japanese couple. nationality is unfortunately unimpt. in hollywood. actors cross nationalities/cultures all the time. hell, tony shaloub has played italians, arabs, and a jew.
anyway, i can’t wait ’til we get some info on their story. i imagine in the end the only survivor will be the boy, the baby (if born), and vincent, the wonderdog. lol

The actors may be Korean in nationality, but the couple was speaking Japanese on the episode.
I’m a huge Lost fan now, too. I even love Vincent the Wonderdog. 🙂

The asian couple is Korean (at least the husband is, he’s the Hot Korean guy from Angel, 24 and a bunch of other series.)

i just hope they can keep it up. i’m already digging how the stories are unfolding. trying to fig out what dominic monaghan’s character hid in the bathroom, what’s up with the japanese couple, etc. i hope whoever jj abrahms (creator, writer) has directing the rest of the episodes (he did the pilot himself) is just as good.

Yeah I had a LotF moment just from the commercials, and though I loved the book and the ORIGINAL movie (not the one with J Paul Getty), the plot is ultimately too frustrating (meaning very well written) for me to go through LOST. I can’t take it a third time.
