Harry Potter: Book Five

Bloomsbury Magazine annouced earlier today that the fifth book in Harry Potter series will be published on June 21st, 2003. I can’t wait to read: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. I don’t particularly care for the Harry Potter movies, but I love the books. Go J.K. Rowling!!!!

I totally agree with you there Ursula. I think that the movie is NOT Harry Potter. I can see nothing Harryish in Daniel Radcliffe. His acting is vacuous. And his face only shows two expressions (although I think that it increased by one in the second movie). I don’t really try to think the movie and book as one because honestly, it’s not. Maybe in the producers mind it is. Anyway, I’m happy that the fifth book has a definite release date. Can’t wait for its release!!!

An orthodox cleric in Greece wants to ban Harry Potter. Don’t any of these guys read these books or see the movies? The Harry Potter stories are bursting at the seams with values just about anybody would approve of instilling in children.
This also makes me wonder how all of these people who want to ban Harry Potter manage to save their own mortal souls after having been tainted by exposure to it. Do they receive some kind of ecclesiastical protection upon opening a dreaded J.K. Rowling book? Reminds me of the Legion of Decency, who risked their own fate by previewing such unwholesome fare as “Pillow Talk” with Rock Hudson and Doris Day.
