Friday Night

Sometimes when I’m not in the mood to be social, I try and suck it up and just go out. As much as I like to be home feeling sorry for myself (job woes), it really does me no good. So I was really pleased that I didn’t back out on my friends last night; even though I still have that migraine headache. We decided to meet at Melvin B’s but it was so crowded that we ended up at The Blue Agave. After one too many margaritas, we then went to Big Bowl for dinner. I had the option of going to a gathering of Young Republicans but I thought that might be pushing my luck for the evening, so I took a pass. As curious as I may be about the other half, I was in no mood to talk politics tonight. Even still, it was a good night as I always feel better when I spend a few hours with friends catching up on each others lives.

It’s good you are socializing but sometimes it is good to kick back and do what you have to do. Of course, it is no good to sit and brood by yourself. That is a sure fire way to go into a depression and not come out for a while. Remember, women are more prone to depression than men. Ironically, more men are diagnosed with manic depression.

In my opinion, the capitalist and liberty party is by far better than the socialist party (formerly known as Inter-Collegiate Socialist Society or ISS). I’m talking about the RNC and the DNC. However, my young political views are leaning towards Libertarianism.

Blue Agave followed by Big Bowl…mmmmm. Great Friday evening. I was pretty close by imbibing martinis at Tavern on Rush.

Thank goodness your political common sense stayed with you after those margaritas. It could have been dangerous in the enemy camp.
