Food Network

Post placeholder image

Since I’m sick, I’ve been napping and watching television all day long. The channel that I’ve spent the most time watching is the Food Network. Who would have thought that watching people cook or talk about food would be so entertaining for hours on end. Plus, even though my appetite is almost nonexistent today, some of the shows have made me wicked hungry for more than just food. Oliver from The Naked Chef & Oliver’s Twist is just yummy!

When I’m hungry that channel is nothing but slow torture. It makes me want to consume massive quantities of unhealthy food sometimes. Luckily, that has only happened once 🙂

I like Jamie Oliver, he’s facinating. You watch these cook make it look so effortless. The you try it yourself. It’s kind of like water color painters. The make such nice pictures, when you try it you get this muddy mess on the paper.

I love the fucking Food Network. I’m not afraid to admit it either.
The Iron Chef is-hands down-the best show on that channel. It might be the best show on television.
A few months back, a fellow volunteer’s mom sent her a few tapes of the show. We went to someone’s house, made up a huge batch of pasta, cracked open some wine and watched 3 or 4 episodes in the row. It was pure bliss.
Naked Chef is a great show, too. I also dig A Cook’s Tour. What better than a comnination of travel and food? I think that show was made with people like me in mind.
Apropos of nothing, I finished making a culinary masterpiece, a Thai Chicken Pizza. Yum!
