First Pitch

Post placeholder image

If you had the opportunity to throw out first pitch at a White Sox baseball game, would you take it? Or give it to someone who really cared about the game and the team? This is my dilemma.
Update: Someone else will represent Michigan and throw out the first pitch. But I get to be on the field. Oh goodness. Trying to stay calm.

Ok, so you’re standing there next to the mound, waiting for whoever it is to throw out the first pitch. Make your sure you’re standing right next to the guy with the ball. Then right before he’s getting right to make the pitch, hit him on the head, grab the ball, throw it to the catcher, then, as they Samoa, it’s uma. It’s over. What are they going to do? Throw you out of the game? So what, you’ve already thrown out the first pitch. Maybe you spend a night in jail, or get sued for assault, but it’s a small price to pay.

I’d probably give it up. It wouldn’t mean much to me, and it’d mean alot to whoever did it.

I dunno. I would think throwing out the 1st pitch (or in reality, one of several 1st pitches) at a major league baseball game is a really cool experience even if you’re not a big baseball fan. Of course you do risk having the ball not make it to the plate and getting booed off of the mound. Especially if the fans know you are representing the University of Michigan.

I’d offer it up. You’d feel like the biggest asshole when said person-who-cares is sad and jealous. Unless you don’t like them, in which case you should do it out of spite.
