Finding Time To Read

Post placeholder image

My goal was to finish reading at least twenty-four books this year but I got distracted and as of today, I have only managed to finish nine. Somewhat embarrassed by this number but trying not to beat myself up too much. I bring all of this up as Titilayo over at This, That & Whatever Blog read over 60 books this year. Quite impressive if you ask me. I scrolled through, checked out quite a few, and added some to my ever growing “to be read list.” So if you are looking for book suggestions, check out her list.

For me reading *is* a good time, but I do agree with Andrew, don’t sweat it too much. Read what you want to read and as much or as little as you want to. It’s not as if you have to meet some standard or you’re going to be graded.
I don’t think that my list is *full* of fluff. I think I struck a pretty good balance between fluff and some other pretty decent stuff. But I guess that opinions on that will vary.

Don’t sweat it too much. That list is full of one day fluff reads. And anyway, if you’re too busy having a good time to read, you’re too busy having a good time to read.

Thanks for the suggestions. I’m reading “Leg The Spread” right now. While the subject matter is interesting (what it’s like to be a woman at the Chicago Merc Excg.) I find the author’s writing style to be underwhelming.
