Ever since my Mom’s death 14 years ago, I no longer get weepy over celebrity deaths. Yes, I feel for their families, but there are lots of wonderful people who die every day who despite their greatness aren’t getting wall to wall coverage after their death. Now I don’t begrudge the celebrities or their families for this coverage, I’ve just gained perspective. I have done the unthinkable. Somehow I find myself watching and following the trials and tribulations of the less than beautiful people in an English soap opera that shall remain nameless. Inconvenient Truth

I woke up yesterday morning listening to former US Vice President Al Gore pontificating on the BBC about global warming. And I’m starting to think that he has a point. How else to explain the unusual amount of rain that England is currently experiencing. Now comes the hailstorms…. This is the sort of weather you’ve expect in November/December.
