Election Anxiety

Anyone else feeling anxious about the upcoming election? Listening to NPR during the day use to be so relaxing now it stresses me out with all the election drama. I realize I could change the station or just turn off the radio, but I cannot break away. I want to stay informed. I want to know what is going on. With that said, I really just wish it were over and done with. This country needs to move on. However, something tells me election night might drag into election month and if that happens, God help us!

Just keep telling yourself, “Barak Obama is going to be next Senator from Illinois” and you will feel better.
What I find difficult to take is no so much the election coverage, which I can turn off whenever I want to, it’s the fact that I’m in a hardcore blue state. I know my vote counts as much as any one elses and I’m going to do my part to make sure that CA’s 50+ electoral votes go to Kerry, but I would rather be in the red state, if only for a day or two.

Yes, and all the discussion on NPR lately about how there will likely be litigation about the results…sheesh. This is not going to be pretty.
This is also only the second presidential election I’ve participated in…and the first one where I’ve been honestly scared of what the result might be.
