Chronic

For borderline hypochondriacs like myself, the Internet is a blessing and a curse. At the slightest discomfort, we search various medical sites like WebMD trying to self diagnosis. This is not the smartest thing in the world since I’m usually way off base about what’s wrong and this leads to unnecessary worry and stress, but it hasn’t stopped me from searching. I haven’t really done that with this constant headache/migraine thing, because I just assumed it was work related. But, I’m starting to get worried. I’ve never had a headache last for such a long period of time. I do get some relief from the Advil Migraine pills put it’s only temporary. Goodness! I really hope there is nothing wrong with me. I can’t afford to get ill right now. Hopefully the gods will smile on me soon and take this awful headache away. But if it doesn’t go away soon, I might just have to go see my doctor.

In the case of health, you should keep yourself informed about medicine. However, guy or gal you shouldn’t do a self diagnosis and expect accuracy.
In my case, I have bi-polar disorder. Pretty much guaranteed, ironically both my parents have manic depression. They both have medical back ground so I’m pretty fortunate to be their child. I can always go ask them for a reference on something I’ve researched and then go to the doctor.

Then you come down with breast cancer and who do you run to? A doctor.
You should hate lawyers more. They are the ones we should be going after. Those godamn ambulance chasers.

I laugh right along with you at the first part of your post.
How many times have I gone down the list: I have this and that and that and oh my cripes I have THAT too! I’m going to die!
Luckily I hate doctors so I later assure myself it was all coincidence.
However, with the second part, a prolonged headache is no laughing matter. Even if it goes away, you should still see a doctor about it. Just to be safe.

I echo bob. If tests are run and show “nothing serious,” try seeing a chiropractor who uses an activator. Chiropractic has been a godsend for my headaches.

How many days since you’ve had this headache? Go see your doctor. I’m telling you – go. And don’t settle for one of those appointments in 2 weeks, either. Go.
