Christmas Eve 2003

Post placeholder image

I had a lovely Christmas Eve. I had dinner at Rosebud on Rush with one of my friends and her family who were in from Texas. The food and service at Rosebud was a little mediocre, but the company and general festive nature of the evening made up for it. We then headed over to Fourth Presbyterian Church for services. When we arrived, I felt like Mary and Joseph who had difficulty finding room at the Inn. The church was packed with lots of people who I suspect almost never go to church expect at Christmas and Easter. We ended sitting in the upstairs balcony on the side which felt like stable accommodations because we couldn’t really see anything. My friend and I made jokes about the situation which totally help to not damper the festive nature of the event. I felt a sense of calm and peace within as I sang some of my favorite Christmas hymns. So here’s hoping that everyone out there who celebrates this holiday is having a Merry Christmas. Merry Christmas everyone!!
