Choo-Choo & Racquetball Guy

Post placeholder image

A battle is brewing in the Barzey household. It’s between the two men in my life: Choo-Choo and Racquetball Guy. Basically, ever since I started going out with Racquetball Guy, Choo-Choo has gotten a little jealous. In fact, if Racquetball Guy comes over, Choo-Choo insists on being in the same room and meows at the top of his lungs. It’s the weirdest thing. Racquetball Guy is doing his best to win Choo-Choo over but it may take some time. All I can say is that it’s a good thing Choo-Choo doesn’t have any claws. Thinking he would use them on Racquetball Guy and that wouldn’t be a good thing. I so want them both to like each other.

you may be hoping for something that’s not gonna happen. kim’s, her blog is g-spot, husband is still trying to win over the cat. it’s a loosing battle. the cat just hates him.
he’s definitely feeling threatened and marking his territory. the apt and you are his. ayaba has a good idea about asking choo-choo’s permission. it sounds silly but it may just work. as far as he knew you guys were company and now theres some guy hanging out and/or taking you away. that causes stress, separation anxiety, jealousy, etc.

Sounds like Choo Choo is claiming his territory – you. I don’t believe Racquetball Guy asked Choo Choo’s permission to take up all of your time. 🙂 It’s actually pretty nice. If Choo Choo didn’t care you would get nothing.

I used to have a very precocious Siamese who figured out how to get onto the top edge of the open door near my bed and would then pounce on the head of my then boyfriend. I could never figure out how she could get up there since it was at least four feet away from anything higher than my waist and I didn’t see clawmarks in the door.
She ended up being right. But then Andrew’s Siamese cat used to attack me in my sleep and we’ve been together for 8 years, with the cat, who finally started liking me about 4 years ago.

one of my former roommates had a similar situation, but it was between her & her ex-bf’s dog. the dog actually chewed up her glasses once in a jealous rage!! not kidding. needless to say, the dog won, as they are no longer dating… 😉
