A Tribute to Senator Kennedy

What a great tribute to Senator Edward “Teddy” Kennedy at the 2012 Democratic National Convention which also manages to sneak in an attack on Republican Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney. Basically, it revives the accusation that Romney is a flip-flopper. Anyway, watching the video brought back such wonderful memories of the Senator and couldn’t held but shout: “Teddy … Teddy … Teddy.” The dream definitely still lives on! And so here is hoping that President Obama who isn’t perfect by any means, gets another four years. The risks are too great to trust the Presidency to a man (Romney) who changes […]

Our Greatest Team Parade

Being a Volunteer Performer in all four London 2012 Ceremonies has been good for me. Not only have I gotten to see these historical events in their entirety, live and in person while interacting with the audience, but I’ve also met lots of wonderful people from across the UK and globe — some of whom will be lifelong friends. Note: Video and photo credit to fellow Mechanical Nell Thomas who is a Doctor Who fanatic. Check out […]

London 2012 Paralympics: Opening Ceremony

I am beyond spoilt with all the London 2012 events I’ve participated in or attended. Last night was the Opening Ceremony for the Paralympics. Once again I repeated my role as Audience Leader. That meant at various stages throughout the show, I was interacting with the audience this time in Section 244 getting them to dance or do various other cues to bring about further engagement with the show. I’ll be honest and say that this show didn’t have the intensity for me as the Opening Ceremony for the Olympics which was much more theatrical but it was beyond amazing […]
