Abercrombie & Fitch Quarterly

Post placeholder image

The A & F Quarterly is no more. Learnt of the cancellation from a letter I received from the company with a refund check. I didn’t buy the clothes or particularly like the catalog itself, but I signed up to receive a few years back after realizing that people on Ebay where spending ridiculous amounts of money for some of the older ones. I did hold on to most for awhile, but sold most of them late last year. Looks like I should have held on to them even longer. Oh well! I did make a good profit when I auctioned them off. In case you’re curious here is exactly what the letter said:

Thanks Ursula,
It’s been a lot of fun over the past few years enjoying the A&F lifestyle with our models and countless celebrities who’ve dropped in on the action. However, even the best parties have to end.
Attached is a refund check for the subscription you’ve already paid for.
We realize you may be experiencing some withdrawal symptoms, but there’s no need to worry. Even though the A&F Quarterly has ended, we’ve got something much more fun up our sleeves…so be ready.
Sincerely,
A & F Quarterly Magazine Staff

Hmmm! I wonder what they have up their sleeves. Here’s hoping they get back to the business of selling clothes instead of peddling soft porn.

a&f gets attacked becasue they want to sell thongs to pre teens. yea you read that right. pre teens, for example a 16 year old who thinks a and f is the greatest thing since slice bread. walkin thru that store makes me feel so dirty. there are clothes in there that even at 20 i would never wear. abercrombie and fitch was sued and the reason other stores dont get in trouble is becasue they dont try to show you pictures of 12 year old in bikinis. other stores such as the gap and old navy are family oriented and show their children models with their parents or atleast fully clothed. there should never of been an abercrmbie kids and parents who let thier children shop there should have their children taken away.

I love abercrombie and fitch…i think its the best store and i’m only 16. I don’t see how the pictures are bad when other stores do this as well… many other stores sell thongs to kids, why do you only pick on abercrombie for doing this.

What has the world come to when stores such as abercrombie and fitch start trying to sell sex to kids? I really don’t understand what they are trying to sell with these ads that picture naked men and women lying around on a beach. When do you think the line should be drawn? Personnally it should have stopped a long time ago…

I think it was a brilliant catalogue. One of the best American productions and instead of promoting it, it was closed down. Americans need to wake up to reality and move forward with the rest of the World. Maybe travel a bit more and see whats outside! Its a brilliant FREE World out there ! London, UK.
