Welcome Home Present

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

I come home to a cold dark house. In fact, the whole street is dark. Why, I am not exactly sure. And unlucky for me, the heating system requires electricity. So I decide to jump straight into bed. I don’t even take my clothes off. I am tired and cold. Really cold. My teeth are rattling. Not the welcome home I had imagined, but oh well!

The next morning, I wake to find that the electricity is back on. However, as the heating was off for 6 days, the house remains frigid for some time even though I crank it up. So cold in fact that I stay under the covers for much of the day and night.

Things finally improve this morning. However, I am now fighting a sore throat. Just my luck!
