Nothing annoys me more than clinking on a link only to find out that I have to register, just to read a damn news story. Granted I understand why newspapers want you to register, but it's still rather annoying. Particularly since the likelihood of me returning to many of these sites is slim to none.

A! Greed! At first I registered with some bogus name and location...now? I don't even bother. I think it's terribly rude to be asking me for all of my personal information just to read a news story I can get for free somewhere else.
I have the same annoyance...but now I have an undying love for bugmenot.com in which people post their fake registrations publicly so that you don't have to go through the hassle.
