Fahrenheit 9/11

Before going on my 10 mile power walk on Sunday, I went to go see Fahrenheit 9/11. As much as already been written about the movie, I won't spend time writing a review. What I will say is that if you live in these United States of America and have the right to vote, shame on you if you don't exercise that right this coming November.

Now that is one political thing we can both agree on.

I've always been of the mindset that if you don't vote, you can't complain about the state of the government.

One of the best ideas I've ever heard revolved around driver's licenses. The main gist was that you can get a provisional license at 16 but not be eligible for a full license until the age of 18. Before you can get your license, you have to register to vote. Doubt that this would ever come to pass but it is a step in the right direction.

I saw the "Fahrenheit 9/11," and agree with many of Moore's ham-handed points. However, I'm curious as to why he didn't make much effort to include a Jewish or Muslim viewpoint. As long as he was in Flint, he could have easily cruised down to Detroit and interviewed some of the many Muslims there. As for the Jewish perspective, isn't Harvey Weinstein distributing Moore's film?
