The Dress

And now back to our regularly scheduled programming. I purchased this Jessica McClintock dress in peri-blue color to wear to my friend's wedding in two weeks. I did not pay retail, but the price was still pretty steep. So, I might decide to take it back and wear something I already own. Particularly since it was recommended that I wear gray or silver or white shoes and I don't already own any that color. According to the saleslady wearing black shoes, no matter how cute, just wouldn't do the dress justice -- and I kind of agree! Arrh, what's a girl to do. I suppose I should just take comfort in the fact that I didn't buy the dress on credit and I'll get to wear it to 1 or 2 black tie events later this year.

That dress is GORGEOUS! You could always do clear shoes too. :)

Payless has some nice and comfy shoes in silver...and that's less than $15...the ones I got for the wedding I was going to were from there, and considering they're basically one-time use, I figure that's a good place to get them from.

i am soooo not a dress kinda gal (wouldn't be caught dead in one actually), but i have to say, that's a damn nice dress! ;)

Shasta & Deshigrrrl: Thanks for the compliment. I feel like a princess in the dress, so I just might wear it to the wedding.

TsuKata: Thanks for suggesting Payless. I hadn't really thought of them. But they might just have what I need at a price that is way more reasonable than some of the stores I've been checking out.

That is a fabulous dress! You will look so beautiful! Forget about taking it back - just buy new shoes! (I usually buy the cool shoes then find a dress heh... I love shoes).

Another vote for the black dress.

Red shoes. Got to have red shoes. Got to wear them at every possible opportunity. Red shoes may not BE happiness, but they may LEAD to happiness. And a red bag. And then your little black dress won't be just another black dress.

Add a little something to you step.
