Congratulations go out to Mimi from Mimi Smartypants and Wendy from Poundy Blog who both got book deals based on their blog writings. Congratulations also go out to SourBob who is negotiating a contract for his own book deal. So that's three bloggers here in Chicago who will have book deals. That's awesome. Now wondering why no one has called me to offer a book deal. I am available and ready for my extended 15 minutes of fame.

i know, it's crazy! i think, at least with wendy & bob, it helps to have a bit of a theme. mimi is just a great writer, so she got one for her skills / antics, which is almost neater, IMO.
i'm happy with my lil' blog world, but it's great to see things happenning to those around us!!

sour bob had started his own little publishing co called shabby little books. poundy is a prof. writer isn't she? or a mag editor?
Wendy is an editor for a children's book publisher. Shabby Little Books has fallen by the wayside for the most part, and I'd hardly call it a publishing co., unless you consider every zinester a publishing magnate. (By the way, the Herald exaggerated Sour Bob's book deal. He is working with an agent.)
