I'd like to think that I'm an early adopter when it comes to technological gadgets and services, but I'm really not. I've never downloaded music from the Internet. MP3 what? I resisted on getting a cell phone. Now I have one but I hardly use it yet I feel compelled to keep it. You already know that I have 2 VCRs that I hardly use, so I'm resisting the urge to get a DVD player. Oh and let's not talk about TIVO. My best guy friend was an early adopter and raved about the service but I just couldn't bring myself to sign up. I did get a Palm Pilot about 15 months ago, but that's only because it was a gift from my job. Now thinking about going back to go back to using a paper calendar; at least temporarily. For whatever reason, I've been loosing appointments that I've loaded into my PDA. It's probably time to upgrade since I only have the M125 model, but I'm being totally cheap about it. Plus I miss being able to look back through a paper calendar for possible reflection on what I've done over a year. Heck, I still have my day planners from college. Every now and then I drag them out to remember the good old days. I know over time these things will lead to clutter, but they help me remember my personal history. Plus they might be archeological treasures for my children and grandchildren. Well, that's what I like to think. More importantly, while technology may be great, there is something to be said for doing things the old fashioned way. Anyone out there still writing letters beyond holidays cards and sending via snail mail? Probably not!

i love my paper calendars. my pda is an address book and i still have one of those on paper too. technology is da debil! i refuse to be overly dependent on it. what if there is an emp bomb and all tech goes belly up? i still wanna have my skills though it is quite possible that a 747 could fall out the sky and onto my head.
I still regularly write letters and sent them snail-mail to people. Nothing can compare to getting a letter in the mail.
I write letters all the time - not as much as I'd like, but then I get few in return. I just got a handwritten thank you note in the mail from my grandpa - those are rarer than rare, and it was a wonderful treat. If you want real mail, I'm your girl. Seriously. I'll write you inane babble, just so you can have a letter in your mailbox. :)
I'd like to write letters via snail mail, but who has the time? But maybe I'll order some stationary online to inspire me.

Writing letters to somebody you really like can bring out alot of emotions that you have a hard time expressing in words. A "friend" of mine and I have been writing back and forth for some time and it is so romantic to read his letters!!! It is so sweet to read them. I'm starting to fall fast for him!!
