I saw a really cute movie on Thursday night that everyone should go see. It's called Bend It Like Beckham. Movie is a coming of age story about a young girl (Jess) of Indian heritage growing up in England who is somewhat obsessed with David Beckham and the world of soccer in general. In movie, Jess is trying to please her parents who are very old world in their views about what a proper Indian young girl should be doing while trying to pursue an opportunity to play soccer which her parents don't approve of. The story while somewhat formulaic wins you over with great performances by a long list of supporting characters. Such a delightful funny movie with lots of clever dialogue that is oh so inspiring.
