I love it! Being a Chicago gal myself -- born and bred on the south side of the city proper, thank you very much, I can truly relate. I hate to hear people mispronounce Illinois almost as much as I hate the frequent mispronunciation of the word February.
I presume that once the Supreme Court rules against those two guys from the Lone Star State, we can change the motto from "Don't Mess With Texas" to "Don't Mess With My..." well, you get the idea.
