It's less than 3 hours before I head out for 4 days of sales training and I haven't packed. I haven't even gotten the suitcase down. Maybe because I'm only going to a Chicago suburb. I'm not even leaving the state. You would think if they take you away from home for 4 days it would be to someplace warm. Don't they know that's the rule when it comes to dealing with sales people. I don't want to go. Maybe I can call my boss and tell him that. Then again, maybe not. This totally sucks!!! It's not that I don't see the value of the training, I do. I'm just wondering why we can't just do it at the office.

Do they at least give you a private room? Nothing irritates me more than when cheapfuck companies put you up with other employees. I mean, if I wanted to see other guys in their underwear, I'd find a way to do it.
At the last place I worked (and you know where I mean), they once put THREE OF US in one hotel room. I lived up to my childhood nickname of "Buzz." As in buzzsaw. My snoring help my roommates up all night. Well, part of the night. I did them a favor by sneaking off until 2 a.m.
When you arrive, get one of those little tropical drinks, you know the one with the umbrella, take it back to your room, turn on the water in the tub...close your eyes and dream that its a deserted tropical island. As for the cabana boy, lathering you up with lotion...I'll leave that part of the fantasy to YOU! :)
THankfully I get my own room. It's really small -- but its my home for the next four days.
As for tropical drinks....great idea! But this place was dry last night. Hopefully that will be different tonight. I can already tell that I need a drink. Not a good sign!
