2004 Oscar Predictions from Ursula's Not So Secret History on February 29, 2004 11:27 AM

Last year after seeing all of the movies nominated in the 14 major categories, I was only able to predict Read More

Don't get me wrong, I loved Chicago. But if Renee Zellweger wins Best Actress, then the Oscars will be something I no longer pay attention to. My money/bet is actually on Nicole Kidman for it, whether deserved or not (Haven't seen The Hours, so this is just my hunch). I would, however, LOVE to see Queen Latifah win, simply because it is so rare to see a plus-size woman win in these things.

Wasn't Catherine Zeta-Jones radiant last night? Someone on E Online! commented that this year's Supporting Actress nominees were a great argument for the "natural woman." If I ever get pregnant, I hope to be as luminous and joyful as CZJ was. :)

And Adrian Brody - WOW!!!

I'm glad Nicole Kidman won, though I think she might've deserved it more last year. She was - everything I hoped she'd be as Virginia Woolf. I know you didn't like the movie - but you really should read the book. It's quite incredible.

Catherine did look quite radiant. Suprised that Adrian Brody won. Big upset but not entirely a bad choice. He did do a great job. As for Nicole's win, I happy for her...but I really wanted Julianne Moore to win.

If Lord of The Rings wins Best Picture in the Oscars THIS year (2004 for 2003 movies), I'm never watching movies again. those movies are for tards.
