London 2012 Paralympics: Closing Ceremony

It’s been a glorious summer here in London. And the Paralympics Closing Ceremony on Sunday night was a great way to end London’s successful Olympic and Paralympic Games. Prior to the night, my Audience Leader group had one rehearsal for the show. There were originally supposed to be about four rehearsal sessions but those got cut back as most of us had done the three prior London 2012 ceremonies and so we knew what to do. I Am What I Am

One of the more emotional aspects of the London 2012 Paralympics Opening Ceremony came at the end were we Audience Leaders coached the audience to accompany those on the Field of Play/Stage to sign I Am What I Am. This was taken after the Closing Ceremony and we were in extremely high spirits as we mingled with the other performers and the remaining athletes who hung around just soaking up the energy and amazing Olympic atmosphere that all came to an unfortunate end that night. Note: Video and photo credit to fellow Mechanical Nell Thomas who is a Doctor Who fanatic. Check out […]
