I walk a lot – either regular or Nordic walking. It is my primary way of toning up the body and keeping weight under control. Ideally, I’d walk every day, first thing in the morning since I enjoy the great outdoors and feel that it sets up the day nicely. I have a love/hate relationship with food. It all started around September 1988 when I left the comforts of Boston for college at the University of Michigan. By the time Thanksgiving rolled around, I had gained the freshmen ten – heck, who am I kidding fifteen pounds. Good Health. Good Life.

A recent disappointment had me thinking of going on a long Forest Gump type run. But I realised that really wasn’t the best course of action. So instead, I decided I would go walking for an hour each day — for 21 days. 21 days because that’s how long it typically takes to create or change a habit. Forgive this self-indulgent post. I have time on hands. So I find myself looking through my photo archives. In the process, I come across the picture below taken of me at a friend’s wedding during the summer of 2004. I really like the way I looked back then. Thus, I have decided to post picture here as motivation to get off my tooch and do a bit more exercise. Goal is to fit back into this dress by summer.
