Holiday Cards

It is five days before Christmas and I have only sent out one holiday card. So to those of you who have sent one to me, know that I am quite appreciative but the likelihood that you will get one back this year is bordering on slim to none. I know that sounds a bit mean, but just trying to be honest. Every year I have the best of intentions, but something happens and I never seem to get around to sending them out. Nevertheless, maybe, just maybe, I will get my act together in time for next year.

Seasons Greetings

Christmas came and went without much fanfare. It started with me exchanged Christmas greetings in the morning with a few friends and family members. Then waited for my younger sister and her family to come over for dinner. No surprise but she was late. In fact, she was 5 hours late. Oh the joys of family events. Things actually went smoothly once they showed up. I made lasagna with the halal ground beef and we exchanged gifts while we waited for food to cook. Christmas Eve 2003

I had a lovely Christmas Eve. I had dinner at Rosebud on Rush with one of my friends and her family who were in from Texas. The food and service at Rosebud was a little mediocre, but the company and general festive nature of the evening made up for it. We then headed over to Fourth Presbyterian Church for services. When we arrived, I felt like Mary and Joseph who had difficulty finding room at the Inn.
