Lately, I find myself reading a lot of books and articles related to franchising. Not surprising really, considering the nature of my work. I have also been watching a lot of videos online focused on entrepreneurship. A favourite source is: cmypitch.com which is "a social network for small businesses, connecting entrepreneurs with each other, investors and service providers."
I came across cmypitch.com about a month ago as I met Emmett Kilduff, founder and chief executive at a networking event. Since then, I've been hooked on Entrepreneur TV which has a good selection of videos featuring well known British entrepreneurs (like Sir James Dyson, Charles Dunstone, etc.) talking about how they got to be where they are today. While the videos vary in length, from each you still get a good sense of the entrepreneur along with a firm understanding of how they built their business. And oh yeah, there's usually a good number of tips in each for entrepreneurs who have just started their journey.
